One more point, the shoulder strap should hug your shoulder as it goes over and down your shoulder blade. If there is a gap where the shoulder strap leaves your shoulder as it goes to the frame past the top of your shoulder, you need to set the shoulder strap assembly on a lower rung of the...
Also, I'm no expert, yet my knowledge goes this way. The load lifter top attachment point at the pack frame should be level with the bottom of our ear lobe. Yet, what's more important is the torso fit of the frame itself. The hip belt should center the hip pad of the belt right on your hip bone...
It may have been stated earlier in this thread, yet, an advantage , in my opinion, to the 26" frame is that it rises the packbag up two inches. This puts weight that much higher on one's torso, a good factor when carrying much weight.
Hello G. Linden, how does the webbing reducer help converting the one inch strap coming off the Bane, meeting up with the two inch X-ray strap? Yes, we can run the one inch strap through the slot on the reducer, yet what then? How is either strap secured to the reducer? Thanks.
Looking for ideas, methods for attaching pouches to packs where the molle runs vertical on one item and horizontal on the other item. Thanks for the effort.
In my experience, no molle will attach in a stable manner. If you had a pouch or holster that has one strip of molle for attachment ( marsupial holster ), you could run it through the single block of the belt pouch matrix. Yet, it will flop and be unstable. If someone has a method to get this...
Looks effective. The Stryker or Stryker xl are both well thought out packs. Your addition/modification adds the ability to have access to small items without a need to open the main compartment. Yes, there is a outside pocket on the pack itself, yet I seem to have more than it can hold. Your...
Being using the HPG recon kit full size. Chose this one because its thin in thickness compared to others. Not interested in a thick dimensional chest pack that interferes with sight when looking down for tracking or just bulky on my front. It rides comfortably under a backpack, no agitation...
Been using an older discontinued Eberlestock tail hook lumbar pack. Has enough capacity for gear, bow bucket and a pad suspended up near the top of the shoulders to keep bow from banging my head. I know its not readily available, yet I see them now and then on ebay. Maybe you could find...
There is the thought of running the 26 inch frame so as to raise your added pack up two inches to get the load higher on your body. This helps it carry better in my opinion.
If I understand your thoughts on load lifter strap length, what I do is remove the male female connectors on the load...
Have the tactical frame for carrying chainsaw, axe, plastic barrels. Have not used the lite frame. Like the stiffness of the tactical with awkward shaped gear. As you stated the amount of attachment points works for cross tying gear. From what I've heard, the lite frame offers more pressure...
Been using the regular sized F1 for 3 years. The load lifters are not functional. They take little if any weight off the hips. The standard shoulder harness while good for shouldering the butt of a rifle, offers inadequate padding for hauling loads. The narrow width, eleven inches I think , is...
