I use it , used hunt stand as well. You can zoom in a little closer with hunt stand but you save to save individual layers to have that offline map so I went back to on x
Many reasons. Challenge, less weight and bulk to pack than my compound, spent years chasing the latest and greatest trying to milk out every spec of speed on the compounds. I'm a data and trial and error geek, so I find the simplicity of traditional relaxing.
And mainly I can shoot arrows...

Mainly just bow hunt anymore , public land. Trad up til rifle opener, compound til I get it done and then back to trad.
Looking through the classifieds for a pack is what made me realize I hadn't joined yet. So...
Only thing I've been able to get so far since using my hoyt buffalo. I switch back to my compound for rifle season if I haven't got a deer yet, then back to the recurve once I do. I just enjoy the recurve so much more, but I gotta put meat in the freezer.
