Looking for 243/ 6mm round nose bullets

I know this may be a long shot with the high B.C. craze that everyone is swept up in. I need some round nose 243 bullets. Really want the 100 grainers but Speer 105’s would be equally welcome. Any leads would be greatly appreciated!

I’m thinking about 100 gr oryx for 243

I appreciate the information. I guess my main concern though is will they open up enough on a whitetail to make a good wound channel?

I’m thinking about 100 gr oryx for 243

I’m debating on trying the 100 gr oryx in 243. I already have an accurate load for the 95 grain sst. But the oryx sounds promising. Any experience/ recipes you fellas have would be appreciated.

    2022 game harvest

So I was hunting with my son last weekend. Was thinking how moments like that were better than shooting a ten pointer that can pull a skidder. Even if we only saw a couple gray squirrels. What are some of your most memorable hunts? Whether it is a buck that was “ten feet between the eyes” or...

Im scared of blowing myself up with reloads

I wash my hands several times before handling primers. I resize and trim all brass then wash hands, prime all brass and go from there. Could have been a bad primer

Im scared of blowing myself up with reloads

Reloading is fun safe and rewarding, it’s like tying your own flies. Like everyone else has said follow your manual and all will be well.

General Purpose Rifle... Bolt or AR?

I have a couple ar’s and a few bolt guns. The ar’s are fun but don’t get brought to the range every time I go. I never go without a bolt gun. Both are awesome. Semi gives you a quicker follow up shot, but a bolt gun can be cycled surprisingly fast. There are plenty of sub $500 dollar bolt guns...

    Help please

Barnes says with their bullets you can go down in weight with theirs from what your rifle likes in lead core, so if you’re getting good groups with their 180’s try 200 gr lead core offerings. The Barnes bullets have a relatively low bc so they slow down faster than a good lead core. If you...

Help with a 300 win mag

My 300 wsm savage with a 20 inch barrel and limb saver pad kick less than my 30-06 with a 24 inch barrel, neither of which have any muzzle device. If you do get a wsm I have a good 220gr recipe and a great 180gr recipe I could share to steer you in the right direction

Help with a 300 win mag

300 wsm is a good choice as well, a little less recoil. More velocity/energy with bullets up to 180gr. Plus the benefits of a shorter rifle. They’re not as pretty as an x bolt but savages are easy to rebarrel yourself if you shoot a lot. For what you’re looking to spend you could get the rifle a...

Need help deciding on a caliber.

That’s wild about your savage! I have a model 11 that is a real shooter even with a 20” barrel. I wonder if it was action screw torque messing with the group sizes
