Yes. Within 15 minutes from my house I have 4 Wildlife management areas, My farm, and a National Wildlife Reserve. Add another 15 minutes and that adds another WMA and National Forest. I still enjoy a trip out West when I can draw a tag.
I took my son on a late hunt in North Central Wyoming over Thanksgiving week in 2018. There were still plenty of bucks holding on their horns. The biggest problem we had was hunting public. They would run from you at 2,000 yards.

My thought is if planning on next year. The only way you would draw a tag is in the random draw. This draw does not consider points. I would not buy a PP unless you plan on hunting several years in the future. Also any points will be lost if you are drawn in the random draw.
