Guy on FB marketplace wanted to buy just the driver side F150 mirror of a pair I was selling. Asked what my best price was. Told him the same as the listing and I’d throw the passenger side in for free.
He cussed me out and blocked me.
Arca rail near the magwell for sure if it were me. I'll scan nearly 360 degrees around me with the monocular on a stand. No chance I'm leaving a loaded rifle on a tac table and bag unsecured.
I've shot the rokstok off my coyote hunting tripod (daytime with a normal scope) a couple times. The position of the rail on the fore-end makes for an awkward reach to the ball head adjustment knobs unless you have really long arms. I prefer a mounting point closer to the receiver like you could...
On my second pair of timberlines. Didn’t treat the leather consistently on the first pair and it cracked eventually, user error. If they ever discontinue them I’ll buy a dozen pairs to last me a lifetime.
Tried the beartooth and had some issues with them. Schnees replaced them with the v3 then...
Yeah as others said he's more of a "story facilitator" than an interviewer. Former special forces guys are his bread and butter. Some to take a look at:
Jay Cal, DJ Shipley, Erik Prince, Tu Lam, Bob Poras, Cody Alford, Tyler Vargas-Andrews, Mark Geist, Tom Satterly, Sarah Adams, Christian...
.223 big game data point #1 for me:
Rokstok'd RSS with an 18" barrel, BH 77 TMK at 2730 FPS MV. Shot prone with the jellyfish as a front rest, bino harness rear.
120 yards, bedded slightly quartered away. Impact velocity ~2450 FPS.
First shot took a top corner of the heart out, second hit liver...
I’ve heard for years that people take naps in the woods and wake up to a turkey, buck, etc. right in front of them.
How many naps do I have to take for that to happen?
Got back from my first trip with the setup. It worked great for the most part. It was in the twenties both nights I used it. With a zero degree bag I didn’t need/want to run it all night so I just ran it before going to sleep and waking up.
Plus:
- Remote control: so nice being able to turn it...
Agreed, I was gonna buy another top but the price increase was a bit prohibitive. I paid €53.64 last year, now €89.00 normal price.
@Brad@Argali is starting a clothing line I hear…
Or maybe another addition to the Mountain Pursuit line from @Brigham @ Outdoor Vitals ??
