    The Rokslide Stock Traders Thread

I was pretty happy with somehow getting in for $1 on Dec. 10. 75% return in 8 days is pretty solid

I'm definitely not a bitcoin stan, and obviously it won't always go up. The thing that makes me think there is less likelihood of having it drop that much again is how many institutions are tied into bitcoin now. The 2021 to 2023 drop happened when all the stimulus money dried up, inflation was...

UNG might be worth a look. It's a natural gas futures ETF. I mentioned it here quite a while ago and bought some without really looking into it. Hopefully for everyone else's sake they didn't buy any at that time, cause it's been rough. At this point though I think it is worth looking at. Over...

The market overall trends up. As long as you have a long enough timeline and the companies you invest in don't go bankrupt, you likely will make money. Sometimes it just takes a bit of time.

I did make money fortunately (stop loss was set above cost basis). But could have had over $1/share more profit at this point if I held. Last time I held hoping it would keep going up I got burned though and ended up holding a lot longer than anticipated (through everything that you guys have...

Would be nicer if I hadn't hit a stop loss and already sold everything (wanted to make sure I didn't lose money...)

2 weeks from desert sheep opener.

I'm fairly confident it is as well. One of his posts mentions "Summer in wi. The rest, so.cal. or Naples, fl. Residence in nv." Those locations seem to match a lot of his previous claims and pictures.

    Bourbon

I like the background bottles also. I just yesterday found my first bottle of ECBP. Everything I read indicates it is one of the easier to find allocated bottles, but this is the first I've ever seen. And for some reason even at restaurants that have decent bourbons, no one ever seems to have it...

Everyday drivers: - Evan Williams BiB - Wild Turkey 101 Cheaper Sipper: - Russel's 10 - Eagle Rare (if I can ever find it) - Weller Antique 107 (again, if I can find it) Higher End Sipper (but still not crazy, I don't have that palate or budget) - Rare Bird - Russel's Single Barrel - EH Taylor...

Given the situation in the Middle East and how hard it sounds like it is to ship anything through that area, I'd guess that O&G stocks will do fairly well. That could also be wishful thinking that GTE might actually get back to break even for me...

Thought for you guys, GTN may be worth a look. Television networks get a boost in ad revenue in election years, and looking at the last two election cycles it seems like GTN has gone up in the first quarter or two and then plateaued in the summer. Would have been a better buy a couple month ago...

    Revic Acura RS25i Riflescope Review

The bonded rifle is necessary (or else some other way to assure that nothing in the rifle will shift POI). If you don't have a rifle that is rock solid, then you are drop testing the entire system and not just the scope. That's why the review states "something moved". It's not a guarantee that...

2 weeks from desert sheep opener.

Are you saying you read this in one morning? I'm impressed. This took me a week of reading on and off to catch up to page 50 (or so). Although I did go down the rabbit trail of most of the other threads that have been linked at various times. And all the threads that I could find on other forums.

    PEAX SOLITUDE 4 TIPI GIVEAWAY

As a tall guy, I like the height of the tipi. It always bothers me changing or doing most anything inside most normal height tents.

How do you listen to podcasts?

Another vote for Podcast Addict. I use Spotify for music but haven't ever really liked the interface very much. Podcast Addict has more customizability: you can change playback speed in increments of 0.1, set up an automatic start time (if a specific podcast always has an intro you don't care...

What do you use for protein and supplements?

Physical performance side: Molk (Jocko Fuel), creatine (monohydrate, Double Wood Supplements), beta alanine (Double wood) General health: multi vitamin (whatever is cheap and seems to have a decent ratio), D3 (Jocko fuel), fish oil and krill oil (Viva Naturals, 3rd party verified to have...

I figure at 28 years old I have a long enough time horizon that even a mistake has a decent chance of working out long term. The chance of things breaking out big is probably worth taking

I figure since it's an ETF I'm minimizing the risk of losing everything invested as well. Not that things couldn't still go poorly, but it's not the same risk as an individual NG company
