Idaho Mule Deer

I understand that 28 numbers are skewed by outfitters but for otc 28 has good statistics unless I’m looking at something wrong and only a small section of 28 is wilderness

I have never killed a mule deer but have killed a truck load of whitetails with a 243 100 grn Winchester’s and federals

I would keep the 308 and put a muzzle brake on it unless you are wanting to buy a new rifle. I have a 6.5 creedmoor love the gun only use for long distance shooting it would be fine to take a deer out to those distances with good shot placement.
