    18 strand vs 20 strand bcy 8125

I likely should have given my reasons why. 1. You will get a cleaner more consistent release, which will lead to more accuracy. 2. You will be able to hold at full draw longer and not have to worry about pain in your fingers. 3. You will build up calusues the likes of a chain gang has never...

    18 strand vs 20 strand bcy 8125

I'm gonna give some unsolicited advice. If you're still new, and learning, put on a glove or tab and shoot it until you get used to it. My two cents.

    18 strand vs 20 strand bcy 8125

Good advise here. I've settled on 16 strands of 8160. I also add 4 strands to the loops.

    18 strand vs 20 strand bcy 8125

It will make a small difference. Not sure if your fingers will notice it. Better ensure that you nocks will still fit. May have to use a thinner serving.

    Funky arrow flight

Sounds like a bad nock or fletching contact, but if you changed out the knock then, I have no idea. Did this arrow act this way from build time, or did it start all of a sudden? If its from build time maybe it's an incorrect spine arrow that got mislabeled. Fastest way to check that is to...

Point weight vs insert weight… which is more beneficial?

I'm a big fan of the Day Six Evo-X

Point weight vs insert weight… which is more beneficial?

At the end of the day you won't be able to shoot the difference with a stick bow. Find the broadhead you want and then add the additional weight needed with the insert.

Point weight vs insert weight… which is more beneficial?

I would argue that for cut on contact 2 or 4 blade heads there are much better quality and likely more options in the 125-150 grain range.

I don't know the numbers, but at the banquet it had to be close to 200. Many more day attendees.

Am I correct in thinking that the cosine distance at an angle of zero degrees is the same number as the straight line?

Bowhunter with a hard question for you long range hunter...

Interesting. The HD-Bs do have temperature and pressure readings where the Rs do not. I wonder if that's what's going on. At bowhunting distances there is no difference in the readings.

Bowhunter with a hard question for you long range hunter...

Hopefully that got your attention... I have a ballistic calculation question. Really a rangefinder EHR question. I have used a pair of Leica Geovid HD-B 3000 8x42 for many years. I recently wanted a pair of 10s and picked up some Geovid R 10x42 because I don't need all the fancier ballistics...

    Glassing setups

I'll play... Leica Duovids 10/15×50 Always on a Sirui carbon tripod with a ball head. Leica Geovid 8x42 HD-B in a kuiu pro harness. Rarely carry or use a scope anymore, but when I do it's a Leica Televid 77 that's older than most folks on this forum!

Appreciate the response. Not looking for the ballistic solver options so was hoping to find the new Rs. Do you notice much optical difference between the Pros and the Rs?
