Agreed. Leg bones are heavy. I also debone and have never had a problem with meat spoilage of any kind even when hung for 2 days during archery in September. Also never had a problem with weight shifting.
I was escouting on Google earth the other day and im pretty sure i found elk in a pond. Onx image didn't have the same figures in its image. Anyone else think they see elk?
I have a luxe minipeak. The cuts are a little wonky which makes it pitch a little wonky. This has been merely cosmetic for me. At the time I had limited budget and other than being ugly, its been a solid option for the price. I think it was 75$.
Mrbillbrown says it all. Floorless is great. I just use a lightweight tyvek sheet to sleep on. I get some spiders on my stuff but they just give me someone to talk to when going solo
Does anyone know if you can get cell service in Colorado unit 76 if you are up on a mountain peak? Im headed there in Sept for an elk hunt and need to keep in contact with the mrs. Im hoping to avoid a sat phone rental. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks
I am looking to finally outfit myself with quality technical hunting clothing and I can't decide between First Lite and King Camo XKG line. I know there are probably better clothing companies out there but these are in my price range. What are your thoughts on these? Which one should I go with...
I'm considering purchasing the FL vapor rain jacket for archery elk. I have had lightweight packable rain gear in the past that was less than waterproof and ripped easily. How waterproof and durable is the FL vapor? Thanks for your help
It will probably be cold with a good chance of snow. Unless its unseasonably warm and sunny. In that case it might rain. Sometimes its windy. Sometimes its not. If you don't like the current weather conditions when you are hunting, just wait a few hours and it will change. Enjoy Colorado!
