I just picked up a Maven rs1.2 to put on my CA Mesa 6.5 PRC. 20” barrel and suppressed if that matters.
What base and rings would you recommend? I’ve used Leupold DD, Talley lightweight, and others in the past. Thinking about using a rail this time?
Primary use will be hunting...
Excellent condition. Comes with box and all accessories as from factory, including sun shade and two sets of flip caps. Glass is flawless. Scope dials and tracks like it should.
$650 tyd
See link for more info about Tract and about this model...
Bought the Skylight for wife for Christmas as per her request. So far, so good. She is the keeper of schedules for our kids and all their activities and this device and app really cuts down on the miscommunications and questions of "what do we have today and where and when do I need to be...

This is what I'm currently wearing and they meet all the requirements of the railroad. I assume you are working on or around rail in some capacity.
This is my second pair of Redwings and these feel more like a hiking boot...
24" CA Ridgeline
It seems to be a fast barrel. It is also the most forgiving rifle I have ever shot. Basically anything I shove in the chamber gives me sub 1-1/2" groups and most are much better. Also the only rifle I have ever shot that puts everything to basically the same POI.
My favorite hunting load is the 140 AB over BG and it's freaking awesome. 2925 fps and 3/4" or better groups. I would hunt almost anything with that load.
I tried the 150 ELDX over BG and it didn't seem to work well, so I tried Varget. 1/2" groups at 2750 fps and almost no recoil. Not a...
I've been digging around the web trying to work up a load with H1000 and 156 Bergers. I have found 3 different versions of this chart online, supposedly from Berger. The older one with 60.4 gr max. (seems way high to me), the newer one with 56.1 gr max, and the newest version has 58.4 grains.
Looking to upgrade my daughter to some decent gear now that she’s done growing.
Specifically uninsulated pants for turkey season, but I’ll consider about anything if it fits our needs. Always looking for better gear at the right price.
Throw me some offers if you have something in your...
I'd load the 120 BT with whatever powder you choose to a book minimum, or maybe 1-2 grains over min. Velo should be 2500-2700 and will kill any whitetail that walks within 150 yards. Recoil should be very mild.
Hearing protection and having a stock that fits will be more important than the...
Factory muzzle break from a CA Mesa 6.5 PRC - $45 tyd. I had my barrel cut and rethreaded for suppressor so I no longer can use this.
1/2”x28 thread pattern.
Hole diameter measures about .31” so it may can be used on other calibers but you best check with Christensen on that.
https://gardenofgods.com/ is a really neat park in Co Springs and good for kids (good for a couple hours entertainment)
Royal Gorge is 1.5 hours south
Rocky Mountain Nat Park is only 3 hours away and offers a multitude of hiking and sight seeing. I've been to several dozen Nat Parks and RMNP...
Way overthinking it.
I buy all my camo based on fabric, performance and quality. Camo pattern means next to nothing when deer or elk hunting. I actually make an effort to wear mismatch camo when turkey hunting or bow hunting, as the terrain I hunt varies and I just hope at least half my...
#1 - My daughter's first archery hunt for whitetails on my home property in MS. She's killed a pile of deer with a rifle, but she wants to try bow hunting, so we've been practicing all summer. Gonna set up a couple of ground blinds tomorrow.
#2 - Duck hunt in OK with my brother and several...
Started mine off at 4 yo with a .22 with a low power scope. Iron sights are more complicated to explain IMO, but accuracy was never the primary concern. We mainly used a tripod while seated on the ground but sometimes a bench and sandbags. I would sit with the kid basically in my lap or on...
