I have hunted Brittany's for 40+ years and have never had any issue with predators. My Brittany's are on the smaller scale and when they were pups I was concerned about Eagles thinking they were an easy meal...but other than that, I have had no issue.

I honestly don't know how I feel about the changes. It will be interesting to see if it helps the chances of drawing in some of the existing Controlled Hunt units. Some of the units have high tag numbers so second choices should be obtainable in several units. I think it will take a year or two...
No bulls for me this season due to stupidity on my part. Woke up a bit late and had to scramble to get into my spot by daylight. I knew I had a bit of a hike so I lightened my pack by removing some of the "non-essential" equipment the night before.

Pac boots to me are good for shoveling the driveway...but that is about it. They are heavier, don't have the ankle support, less traction, etc. etc.

Question for the EXO Pack users. I am currently using an EXOK2 3500. The pack has been awesome as a good all around pack, but on multi-day back county hunts it is just a little too tight for my shelter, sleeping system, meals, etc. I have been contemplating making the jump to the EXO K3 6400...
I have a helinox chair one. I definitely don't take it on every hunt...but if packing in for 4 days or more having an actual chair to relax in while eating, or recovering in camp is nice. Also when stuck in camp due to stormy weather definitely makes for a more comfortable wait.
