Montana general tag. I heard exactly 6 bugles and my season was over. He’s (obviously) my biggest bull, but more proud I’ve killed 6 points three years in a row with my bow, all DIY public land on easy to get tags.

That’s a Toyota Tacoma in the second pic. I haven’t scored him yet but he’s over 48” wide.

Awesome Bull...congrats! Great mass. Post your score when you have it. Guessing 370+with very few deductions.

My friends, both R and NR did OK in Wyoming. Was a long season and I was getting a bit tired of packing elk.

Started in August helping 2 good NR friends, including one with his first elk:

Next I snuck out for my first of three elk. Used my first hunting rifle I received for Christmas in 1979, ruger m77 in 6mm remington.

General elk with 2 friends, one Resident and one NR.

My bull on day 3:

My NR friend got this one a few days later:

My Resident friend, shot his elk about 12 days before his 80th birthday. He's been hunting this same country since 1970.

Next was late season with my Buddy Jeff and I both taking our 3rd elk for the season out of a herd of 400 or so.

More NR friends showed up and they filled 5 tags by 2 PM, 3 bulls and 2 cows, good day for sure. One friend chose to not fill his cow tag.

Wrapped up the season with my NR nephew, his 3rd WY elk and first bull.

Definitely the highlight of my 2021 elk season, was very happy with his first bull.

Dang BuzzH that looks fun! It doesn’t look like it but if you need another friend I’d be up for it!

1st ever attempt at an archery OTC Colorado Solo hunt. Couldn't be happier and I'm hooked.
Congrats. With your hand around those 4s It shows how much mass it has too. I'm still chasing one like that and like some others have killed in this thread. Very nice!

After moving from NV to MT this year, I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to hunt. let alone fill a tag learning a new set of regulations and landscapes. I was pretty stoked to not only be able to buy a NR tag over the counter, but fill it. Additionally, I was able to do it with my 12 yr old nephew in tow. He was pretty stoked to be on his first successful big game hunt!
