I have one of the bushnells with arc from 12 years ago. I've gone through maybe 3 or 4 batteries with it. and its still clicking along. I still use it out of convenience even though I have a Sig Kilo 10k. If I bought another handheld now it would either be a vortex or a leica
As polar opposite as this discussion might seem, I think there are some issues we don't always factor in this discussion.
Rewind 15 years ago. I was using sierra match kings for hunting.. Everyone online said "you're dumb" "they won't work" "they're not a hunting bullet"
I put 15 deer on the...
No I don't think you would have either. Maybe 50-70fps more though..
I did a quick test with my 22" rifle and was sitting at 2910 with 69g h1000 and 180 hybrid's.
69.5g was showing presure in my ADG brass. so in theory I could probably get another 100-150 fps.... that might be worth it
@TxLite
How much of a difference did yougain with n570 vs using h1000?
I have h1000 on hand but before I load 200 rounds I'mcurious howmuch I'm leavingonthe table

Yeah, thats a valid question to provide picture evidence because failure would imply the animal survived or got far enough away that it couldn't be found
I listened to the JVB podcast this evening because i had to spends few hours driving between 3pm and now. JVB is a dolt. He is 100% more concerned about a bullet retaining weight and thru animal penetrative. In his own examples of "bad bullet size" he presented what would be considered...
IKR!!??
At some point though the guys who claim smaller won't kill need to change their tune and say "I won't use X caliber, but I can see that smaller that X calibers seem to be highly effective".
For me, personally I wouldn't use less than 7mm for elk because I don't like in an elk...
For my hunting 2 pin slide is perfect. 20y and 39y. I can gap shoot anything in between those distances. I'm 95% whitetail archery. anything over 45 yards generally would give me plenty of time to dial
A 12.5" mid length gas AR is tops. Ive shot a lot of AR platformguns and 12.5 is the shortest you should go with. Anyless gives fireballs and speed takes a nosedive. however. Given myhunting regulations I cannot use a 5.56 for biggame, so I'd have go with a 6mm or shotgun for the 1 gun fits...
They died but went on abouttheir lives as if nothing happened except getting spooked. Theydidn't react to the bullet impact. The video Muley Freak did with his intro to the 6.5prc was my first seeing the cartridge in action. I was not impressed.
6.5 hits a wall with bullet weight. 180g bullet...
Not sure how this video popped up in myfeed but I tried the technique yesterday and gee golly I was able to lock in my boot heel and not crush my toes. It has worked for 2 different pairs of boots.
They're a good headlamp, but when you move into a rechargeable lithium type, your run time goes waaaay up. I have a fenix that uses the 14500 size battery. My only reason to upgrade would be to go to a headlamp that uses an 18650 since I have a lot of those already
