Thanks, everyone! The age estimates help a lot.
That's great to know, thanks. The guys on my lease aren't picky and he meets the ranch criteria.
If I get a crack at him, I'll take it. However, a part of me wants to see him elude everyone (even me) for a couple years to see his potential.
I'm curious to hear what guesses on age and score you all have. My daytime photos are too foggy to be useful.
I have little experience with estimating a deer's age and guess he's 6 1/2 years old. Eager to hear what you think.
Thank you! I just placed my order.
Sorry to hijack the OP's thread. I've used Oboz and Superfeet and while they for sure helped, I had some crazy 17 mile days in Colorado two years back and would have paid any amount of money to relieve the pain in my feet.
Granted, packing in the mountains...
I have the medium belt as well and can fit a large Marsupial Gear belt pouch on one side by itself. On the other side, I have a magazine pouch and a Camelbak Nalgene bottle pouch behind it. A small Marsupial Gear belt pouch will also fit behind my magazine pouch.
I got my frame today and it's nearly pristine. It has one tiny mark in the same spot as the promo photo on Kifaru's website. Zero complaints with the frame so far.
I'm preparing for a spring bear hunt in Idaho and need to choose a frame/bag. Perfect excuse to test gear while training for the hunt.
Doing some spring cleaning of gear I no longer use.

Kuiu Bino Harness (1st Gen) w/ rain cover and rangefinder pouch $120 TYD

Color: Verde
This is Kuiu’s original version of the bino harness where the top straps connect directly to your binos, not the bino...
I'm interested to hear what they say about the gouges and missing pieces on your frame. Kifaru had a great reputation; the story about your 14 year old pack is a great example of that.
Edit: For what it's worth, even the promo photo on their website shows a similar small void on the surface.
I think they're called ladder locks. I used a safety pin to keep them from slipping. They tend to readjust on their own when taking the harness on and off.
Buckle Delete Kit
My autolock buckles on the top straps of my Marsupial Gear harness squeaked wicked bad, to the point I deleted them. The side buckles were never an issue though.
What size belt did you order and what size is the belt pouch?
I look forward to hearing your impressions of the new frame under load, especially in comparison to the Exo given their reputation for comfort.
I'm happy to see you and a few others are getting shipping confirmation. Part of the reason I'm online here is to look for some reassurance.
I know Kifaru sponsors this page and wonder if anyone there that reads the threads. They might be too busy stuffing boxes right now lol
Same here. I ordered a shirt with the frame and they emailed me last Friday to let me know the shirt was out of stock. They apologized and refunded me so all good there. The shirt is the least of my worries.
Since they reached out to me first, I asked for a shipping ETA and was told middle of...
