She isn't petite or I'm a giant. I'm 5'6" and I use the kUIU packs with no problems. In fact my husband is 5'10" with a long torso but our packs are set up the same. I have no problems with their packs and quite enjoy them.
Order one in set it up right before going to the field and she'll thank you.
We buy what we want and with all the early sales everyone had this season Christmas came awful early.
Other half probably made out better but he got what he wanted/needed.
I did win a smoked turkey the other half bought and put my name on the ticket. So not a bad deal. No, we didn't wait to get...
Other half goes crazy for all the sales before Christmas. Just the two of us. Fell for the Bearskin hoody. They are nice and warm with a ton of pockets.
Other half fell for a Plasma cutter.
Plus the other Sitka sale clothing.
Scankic machines are like your Lazy boy chair. They ride nice (the newer ones) But they are heavy and hard to handle with bad shoulders. The new Tundra's are the way to go. Great mileage don't weigh a ton and do good.
We had one problem with both models they made the skis a little to narrow and...
There is several guys who are making Bobcat cages for trappers. Just need to get on trapping sites and find the ads and knowledge. Heck we made a hundred of them cages one summer. They are just hard to ship and costly.
We have a Quadrafire stove now and it heats 700 sq ft house and garage. Stove does great just hate the fire mat you have to replace once a year. Would not buy another one.
Had a nice little Soap Stone stove in the other place. It's a great little stove if someone is home all the time to keep...
Sunday morning on the Farm shows. Greg Soule~ is one of the better ones. He seems to be closer to the timing of future storms.
If you dig deep and hard on NOAA sites you can find something but trying to understand it half the time is something else.
No! We need moisture to get the night time humidity recovery back to normal. That is what will cool the fires down and they can get somewhere. If only they would.
No moisture for months and hot temps means fires.
Seen where Big Creek airstrip is closed due to the Logan fire. Valley fire has Boise front closed.
Now the Red Rock has central Idaho closed down.
Basically the west and east sides for getting into the Wilderness is closed to all.
Anyone coming to central Idaho with unit 28 tags better be checking the new closures they just listed today.
It's not pretty and things are going to be crazy and crammed jammed packed with hunters.
Black Eagle Red Rock grew together yesterday/last night. Now 50k acres. The closure is unreal!
Elk won't move without feet of snow, not inches.
We have a cow hunt in Nov if there is no weather to move them this hunt now sucks. Snow is a good thing.
You have no idea what the smoke particles are doing to your lungs.
It's going to be 90 degrees this weekend. Central Idaho.
Nothing will last long in this heat.
Wapiti started July 24.
I can see Avalanche Alley being closed for most of the winter. I only need to get down in October and March. March may not be doable if we have a big snow year.
I can see canyon creek getting blocked and backing up and washing the road out big time.
Thanks for the...
mtnwrunner thanks for the pictures.
Some smart a$$ said old fire scars would slow down new fires.
Doesn't look like it to me.
I watched the Canyon Fire when it burned from a lookout.
The sad thing is they had the fire but they flat out let it get away.
No rain here only high winds yesterday. Smoked in this morning. Closed windows at 0230 this morning it was coming in strong.
Anyone with Sawtooth tags for Bow may not have a place to hunt now.
I get very frustrated with the FS about their fire handling. Worked for the Boise National for...
