As mentioned before, your local Conservation District can be a great resource. Often times they have native plants sales and such. Otherwise I’d call a local landscaping outfit.

It's pretty amusing that two things can be independent of each other, but anyone that uses Orange to describe a certain individual can't do the mental gymnastics to separate the two.
Whoops. Seen downtown Portland for job. Depends how far you want to travel, but if you’re an hour or better away, I’m guessing most of your shopping is going to be closer to home. WA has a sales tax, OR does not. Something to consider. Hopefully someone more local can help you. My in-laws are in...
Neither is the real answer, especially if this is elective. I couldn’t be more serious about that.
Are you working in OR or WA? That would frame the question better. If you’re working in WA, then I would try real hard to live in WA due to income tax ramifications.
Traffic is going to be bad...
I was bit on the hand when I was 11. It was my own damn fault. But I made it and didn’t get meds until 6 hours after the bite due to the hospital wanting confirmation before treatment. This was back in 93 so I’m not sure how prepared they were. I was certain it was one having grown up around them...
Something to consider is the hide will be better the earlier. A lot of it is just going to have to do with the local climate. It’s really all about timing. I like it a little earlier. Definitely see more bears later, but gotta pick through more.
