    Thinking about ditching my puffy pants

    I've been contemplating removing my UA down pants (16oz) when I spike out and just use my quilt and bivy. The full zip pants can be a pain to put on and off, and they don't cover your feet. When it's below 15F I need some insulation on my legs if I plan to sit for more than 30min.

    I'll have to try out the different lacing technique. I spend the majority of the summer barefoot playing beach volleyball, so I'm sure my body hates when I tighten my boots up. I also switched to Altra trail runner this fall and am loving the wide toe box.

    I got that last year in both big toes, took a couple of months for it to fully go away. I think mine is caused in part by tightening my boots too much and walking off my big toe too much.

    If you plan on a stock T3X for 0-400yds, the 30-06 would be my pick. Lots of factory ammo and it'll be cheaper to shoot than a Magnum cartridge.

    I have a 300wsm T3x cut down to 18". The velocities I'm getting with H4350 are: 3039fps with HH160 2686fps with terminal Ascent 175 2648fps with accubond 180 The HH are a compressed load and what I used this fall.
