I agree with everything already said. The only things I could add is:
I'd MUCH rather have a 20,000-hour pilot whose walked away from a couple crashes than a 1,000-hour pilot with a clean record.
If you're looking for safety and quality, be sure to scrutinize high-volume operators very hard...
Thanks Eric, Best of luck in the NWT. I've got 20+ other Dall sheep hunts on DVD as well. Rampage, Season 4, 5, 6, and Lost Season all have lots of sheep hunting. While they aren't "instructional" I always describe what we're doing, why, and how. Cheers,
I guided in the Frank Church for 8 years. Back then grizzlies were very scarce. I never saw a track. I'm not at all familiar with area 1, but I'm sure there's some brazen grizzlies in that country. A human without the ability to use a firearm, or at a minimum a bow and arrow(legally) against a...
You're correct: I don't carry pepper-spray. A .44 or .375 H&H is my defense. Knock on wood, I've never had to kill one in self defense. My Dad did on a moose hunt together. However, he had a tag for it.
Cheers,
Thank you kindly. I appreciate the feedback. It's the "journey" of the hunter I find most fascinating. I have a couple other video projects in the works.
Cheers,
Billy
"Guiding" and "Outfitting" are different terms. Many outfitters make a good living, no doubt. "Guides" who work for them are typically paid a modest to slightly above average wages for a very short window of time each year. I can't think of one guide I know who doesn't make a majority of their...
Been guiding in AK 21 years and Idaho 8 years, simultaneously. The only thing I'll add that hasn't already been said is that in order to enjoy guiding longterm you have to want to serve the people(clients). I love guiding more than hunting. A guide often gets the opportunity impact someone's...
Dry socks are like heaven on earth in the sheep mountains.
As a contributing editor for Rokslide, Robby Denning, graciously allowed me to share the trailer of my latest Alaska hunting DVD, Spirit Of A Sheep Hunter. I'd have to say this DVD is the defining story of my 19 years of sheep hunting...

Hunter Robb Mullins, Packer Doug Elliott, and Guide Billy Molls with a trophy Brooks Range Ram
MTN OPS Review
By Billy Molls, Alaskan guide and outfitter
My client, Robb, my packer, Doug, and I were three days in to a Dall sheep hunt in the northern Brooks Range of...
In a couple weeks I'll venture north for my annual fall migration to Alaska. I've been using various MTN OPS products for training. I still find myself going back to the BCAA mixes and "Ignite". I'm not going to bring any of the powders in the field, but certainly going to pack trail packs of...

Howdy fellow bear hunting Roksliders,
I consider the pursuit of a mature brown bear the pinnacle of North American big game hunting. Hands down, it's my favorite of any hunting I've done. That said, we're offering a taste of that action by giving away 3 copies of my latest DVD, "High Country...
Worn less than 50 miles. I've gone through 4-5 pairs of Hanwag boots over the years, but these simply don't fit my feet right. They are 11.5 WIDE, but not wide enough for me. Sorry, no insoles included. Paid $370. Will take $220 STYD(USA).

25 Days of In-field Use...
I used the Ignite Hot Cider Mix and Ignite individual drink mix sachets daily during spring brown bear season on the Alaska Peninsula.
The Hot Cider was great during the cold, wet 14-hour days of glassing. I typically get tired of glassing and take a nap most...
