Changing up Arrow build for Caribou

+1 tube your bow to your repeatable grip. Also paper is just the starting point you don’t hunt with a FP. I’ve heard others don’t get good flight with the full QAD. I’d try the evolution outdoors Hyde best of both worlds. Flys great to 110 for me.

    Paonia Colorado

Lot of people on horseback and mules in that area. As others have said find some escape routes that they will move on when moving away from the pressure.

    Arrow build question?

Shoot them and find out. I never calculate FOC. Thats a solid arrow setup and you gave yourself tons of room for wrecking arrows and cutting them down to keep using them. Even the victory 50gr stock aluminum TKO half out has been more durable than I expected. I Robin hooded one arrow last...

    Arrow build question?

Depends on what you are hunting. I use one arrow for everything I will hunt deer to elk. I build for an arrow speed/weight and think about the components I want to use to make the setup as durable as it can be. I usually end up 470-500gr. Right now I’m at 498gr and 288fps. That said I have...

Ironwill ,DCA Super Sabres or Tac Drivers

As others have said you can barely outshoot the difference to notice. Also +1 super Sabre not sticking and not being quiet enough. I use hybrid 26s and heat vanes on my setups and others I build.

    Arrows

Victory RIP or TKO with steel/TI hit and a TI collar. Or even the stock Tko half out.

    Bowmar's beast broadhead

Same I don’t follow them. Quick google search does confirm she is on HRT by her own words. So you are correct there.

    Bowmar's beast broadhead

I’ll pass on the PED talk for her. Never know these days but not likely IMO. But many people continue to be wowed by her on the “muscles” and or looks.

    Victory Arrow Weight Tolerance

No issue. You couldn’t out shoot the difference even at 150 yards.

    1 month training

No weighted rucks here. Never noticed a difference from when I’ve done them some in the past. Normal lifting routine and added in walks as that is what it takes to hunt. Walking with a day pack most days.

    Ultraview 1K Arrows

I can build all titanium components victory RIP TKO or SS for cheaper. I don’t think those arrows can be beat. I like that they went stainless post on their outsert. No options for weight at the moment though. I have many people wanting light and durable can’t do that with 75gr component.

    Pending Toyota Recall

I had to get a new truck for work and got it 14k under sticker 2 months ago. Seems like the tide is turning as inventory is stacking up.

    New home build

Large garage space. Overall add should not be much. When I build my next house I’ll go a 3 car garage and shop or just 3-5k sqft garage. Plenty of room for all vehicles, boat, and gym for me.

    First arrow build

Depends how deep you want to go down the rabbit hole. Arrow builders and shops charge a premium as they have employees and overhead costs to account for. I started building a lot for friends a couple years ago and have never looked back. Saves a lot in the long run $50-100+ per dozen. Plus no...

1/2 ton 6cyl diesel and midsize diesel experiences

I got a buddy with a 2021 3.0 Duramax he has has 150k miles with nothing but oil changes hasn’t changed the belt yet. I just picked one up 2 weeks ago already got 3k miles on it. Averaging 26 in city and combined highway have gotten 29-34.8 mpg on trips of at least 20 miles one way. I drive 60k...

    Rocky Mountain All Terrain tires?

I’ve had good luck with 3 sets of BFG KO2 tires on my tundras. Usually get around 120k miles out of them. Mostly highway between construction sites daily with 2-4 trips to the mountains a year. Done well in snow and mud. Could be better in rain but never had an issue.

New hunting arrow setup suggestions, what are y’all shooting?

Bob Smith IC-2000 glue for inserts. I had some issues with Easton epoxy on 2 arrows out of 2 dozen I used that on. No issues with bob smiths but there is some room for user error not as friendly as a slow setting epoxy.

    Mortgages

Where I’m at a construction mgmt degree means nothing. Experience and time in field building relationships is what moves you up the pay scale. I have a masters degree in business with zero construction experience prior to 10 years ago starting out at square zero in the field. Also can’t be...
