Swarovski EL 8.5x42 Swarovision binoculars in excellent shape. No scratches on the lenses and the body shows very minimal signs of use. Includes all of the original packaging and accessories.
These are great binoculars and I am only selling them as I bought 12x42 NLs to cut weight of...
I’m a little late to the conversation but I am also 6’9” with a 6’9” wingspan and 37” inseam for reference. I have and really like the following puffys:
Kifaru Lost Park XXL
First Lite Brooks Down XXL
Kuiu Kenai XXL
All three fit me in both sleeve and torso. The Kifaru is the warmest of the...
I'm also 6'9" and it can be tough finding gear that fits properly. I ended up going with an Enlightened Equipment Convert. You can customize it how you like as far as fill, shell material, and of course length and width. I got mine in a 7' wide 10 deg and it has tons of room but is still...
Just curious, but why wouldn’t you have load lifters with this setup? You can just attach the lifters to the tab loops at the top of your frame. It will give you the same load lift as you get with a bag attached. That’s what I do with mine when am just using a panel and no bag.
Sent from my...
I use a heavy duty dry bag and wood pellets. They are a lighter than sand but I find I can still get anywhere from 30-80 lbs and it is not as much of a mess as sand when changing weight in the bag.
I also prefer using the quarter panel for my Kifaru to really secure the weight rather than...
I switched to copper bullets a little over a year ago and have taken elk, deer, and antelope, mostly with Barnes LRX. The bullets performed great in all cases with all shots at 300 yards and in out of a 300 WM.
I'm developing some loads now with cutting edge for longer ranges as the accuracy...
I’ve used Caribou, TAG, and Argali. I really like the Argali. All have worked great through multiple animals with each set. I’m using Argali now. They are the lightest and have been pretty durable so far. Also breath really well. Get the MOB if you want keep the bone in on elk. The backcountry...
I really like the Kuiu Talus Hybrid pants. They have done well for me the last two seasons. They are reinforced with heavier waterproof material from the knees down and in the seat. The rest of the pants are similar material to the Attack Pant. They are a little warmer than the Attack pant...
I had a Leupold TBR 1000i for several years and it was a good compact rangefinder. I now have a SIG KILO 2400BDX that I love. It has the ability to sync with my kestrel and give me ballistic data very quickly. Range is great and I can get good readings out to 2000+ yards. Way faster to...
I drew my first choice Oryx tag. Rhodes Canyon in December. So pumped for this hunt. I also drew a late season Arizona Elk tag that will wrap up right before the Oryx hunt, so it will make for quite the late fall hunting trip.
I have the same setup that you are considering with the exception of the head. I went with the Jim White 2.0 from Outdoorsman. It is $100 cheaper and more compact but works great with my binos, 15s, and an 85mm spotter. It is not as smooth as a fluid head but much more compact and lighter and...
I picked up the Sig Kilo2400 BDX this year and used it on several hunts as well as the range and have been very happy. It is similar to the Kilo2400 ABS but uses a light version of Applied Ballistics good out to 800 yards. I also have a Kestrel 5700 Elite that it will pair with for longer...
