Well, my hunting buddy has a new love for Zeiss. He chatted with a rep at the Portland Sportsman's show about the 2 sets of RF binos with the scratched coatings. Zeiss ended up replacing one of the sets with a brand new set. Great customer service!
I called SilencerCo and asked about the SyctheTi for my AR-15. They said it will work, but not really recommended if stringing more than 12-15 shots a minute. The heat generated with that kind of use can break down the titanium. I asked about the Omega 300 and they said that would be a good...
I used the Outdoorsman's Arca Adapter Plate - just remove the 2 set screws - it has a smaller beveled top where it contacts the spotter...
I did the blue loctite as well...

@Matt Cashell - maybe you misread my prior post? I did say the scratches were in the coating of the objectives...
Zeiss said the coating scratches were due to improper lens care and therefore not covered under the 5 year no fault warranty.
My buddy will be the first to admit he isn't the...
My hunting buddy had some Zeiss RF Binos that the objective coating developed scratches. Sent them in and Zeiss said "not covered by warranty and $700 to repair".
The lens fix/replacement was going to take several months to complete, so he bought a second set for an upcoming hunt. One year of...
Yes - I obtained digital fingerprints when I ordered the Scythe Ti (Trust) - Capital had everything on file so moving from the Trust to Individual was easy. I'll have to pay an additional $200 ATF tax to eventually transfer the Omega to my Trust...
@RockAndSage & @Geewhiz - My roll of the dice worked! 🎲🎲
Ordered the Omega 300 from Capital Armory on 3/11 (Individual), Certified 3/12.
APPROVED 3/14!
My Scythe Ti (Trust) is still in jail...
I ordered a Scythe Ti in a Trust through Capital Armory about a month ago. With everybody posting the fast approval times, I decided to roll the dice and order a second suppressor (Omega 300) through Capital as an Individual. I had to call to have them change my profile from Trust to...
The Kuiu that I had rode uncomfortably low and had a loose waist band. The Northern Playground were comfortable, decent quality merino, and had good zippers. IMO, the Northern were Swaro compared to the Kuiu Vortex. Lol.
I had some of the first generation Kuiu zip offs and hated them - they were extremely low riders. I saw a recommendation for Northern Playground and picked some up. For me they were a far better fit...

I'm too lazy to make it happen, but in a couple months, a real Oregonian would use a fresh caught Springer, some fresh caught Dungeness Crabs, and fresh dug Razors for the recipe. I bought the wild caught Sockeye, Pacific Seafood shelled Crab, and canned clams from Costco. Oh well - at 7 miles...
This is the receipt I used...the clams and crab were not part of the original receipt - I also doubled the bacon. I didn't follow the preparation exactly - I precooked the potatoes and salmon and added those along with the crab and clams to the rest of the simmered chowder.
Just finished packing 15 Hearty Elk Chili meals. I have 3 trays of Salmon, Crab, & Clam Chowder in the freezer, and I'll add 2 trays of Costco Broiled Chicken, Bacon & Rice for my next FreezeRay batch. I'm going to need to add some more hunts to be able to eat all of this food. Lol.
That's a great deal!
I have the original, non-Pro, in large and it's worked flawlessly. I opted for the oilless pump which adds significant cost upfront, but it eventually pays for it self and reduces oil change maintenance. I also bought an extra set of trays, tray covers, and a set of...
I've got 15-17lbs of Hearty Elk Chili in FreezeRay right now.
FreezeRay put in some OT last week...
