Looking to get into the suppressor game soon. I’m strongly considering the Harvester Evo 300 since I can get it for $400. Yes, I know it’s discontinued, and stated weight is with no muzzle device. Is there a real reason to spend $700 on something else?

I'm still a rookie in the suppressor game myself. I picked up an Harvester Evo earlier this year. It's currently riding on my hunting rifle in 7mm-08, which doesn't see long strings of fire. My opinion, it's a great entry level hunting suppressor. I would love to get ahold of another one.

Side note: Silencer Co did have a recall on this model. I would recommend checking to make sure the one you're looking at wasn't on the list.

I have had a harvester evo for 2 seasons now. It has been great. I don’t have any other cans, so hard for me to compare, but sound and recoil suppression has been plenty good on my 24” 6.5 cm, and it’s awesome on my 19” 22-250 for coyotes. I’m in the market for a second suppressor for my wife’s gun, so hopefully I can compare soon.

I have one, along with a dead air nomad, omega 300, and OCL polonium k. It is not as quite as the nomad or omega dead air, but holds its own, I would consider it hearing safe from my 16” tikka in hunting conditions 400 bucks it’s a no brainer for me

@TheHammer ,
I meant would it be okay to run on an 18” barrel for that cartridge. 300WM is listed for at least a 20” barrel.

I’m looking at it from the viewpoint of “Yes, a DD Enticer or Scythe Ti is a better can, but a little more suppression and couple ounce weight savings would double the price. That’s hard to justify”

There shouldn’t be any issues with the can on that cartridge/barrel length. Plus the baffles and end cap are for 30cal which allows a good bit of gap between them and the projectile. Let us know how you like your new can! Unsure if turnaround times are still same day.

I have two of the Evo suppressors. Like you I could not pass up the deal. They are very quiet in my opinion. I also have a Harvester 300 and a Surefire 30 cal. Honestly they all sound pretty much the same when fired on the same rifle. Suppression is good and I like the size.
That said, I did blow one apart with my Win Mag. I know they had issues with welds and I wasn’t even upset when it happened because I had dealt with SilencerCo before and their customer service is outstanding. Total time to get fixed with shipping was 7 days! Don’t let this sway you, for $400 it can’t be beat and I don’t believe you will have any trouble on your PRC. I’m burning 80 grains of powder in a 22” barrel.
