    One build I'm considering is a Howa 1500 #6 contour (heavy) 24" barrel. It's going to be a bench and box blind hunting rifle so I want max performance. I'm going to put a can on it too.

    I've considered a Tikka 243 1:8 twist as well. At the price point I am willing to spend, I would need to have it threaded, which my smith charges $150. I could just get a Stocky's VG stock for my Mini 6 ARC. That will give it a new gun vibe. It certainly was effective deer hunting last year.

    I've heard it is a good practice for those wanting to improve their shooting to dry fire the rifle more than you actually fire it. I dry fire two rifles with two different trigger types everyday. I'll quit when I start playing golf here in a few weeks.

    How many rounds on the bore? Shoot it at least 150-200 rounds.

    Stable and accurate but it won’t be fast. 2600-2650 FPS is a good velocity though.
