I am leaving tomorrow for Colorado, gonna hunt the 19th thru the 28th, the forecast for 11000ft (capital peak area) shows daytime highs around 50 and nighttime lows around 40. That seems like very warm nite temps to me, is this about what you guys out there are seeing? Is the bugling going hot yet?

After applying obenaufs let it soak in and dry and then reapply out until it won't soak up anymore. I had a pair of Cabelas gortex boots that leaked bad and I saturated them with obenaufs and I have worked in the wet snow for an entire day without getting wet feet.
Did you treat your boots with a good leather treatment? That's the first thing I would do which is probably better than gortex anyway but you shouldn't be soaking they that quick with the lowas.
