    SMD Lunar Duo

I've had this tent and agree that it is a great three season tent. I used their carbon fiber poles in moderate wind without issue and agree that for sheltered three season use they work fine.

New Stone Glacier bag, the Serac

Thanks for the details Kurt. Of the three SG bags I have, the Approach by far has packed the most game out. I'm lucky enough to live in an area where I can do a lot of day or two day and one night hunts and scouting. The Approach is nearly perfect for me. It has worked well for me as an alpine...

New Stone Glacier bag, the Serac

Kurt, Looks nice like all your gear. I have the Approach and it is one of my all time favorite bags. How is the Serac different enough from the Approach to justify it it? For a day to day and half hunt, with a meat pack out I don't think you can beat the Approach. Having used the Approach a lot...

    backpack hunting... need advice

I have a combination of mesh and silicon nylon ditty bags. I put all my food into ziplocks. Quart for the individual meal and all meals, for the day, in a gallon. All the ziplocks are labeled for meal and day. If money is an issue, don't make it drag you down. A lot of game is harvested without...

Usually a HF recomendation results in lower odds. I agree, I can only atribute these "great" odds to people not willing to front a grand for a cow. Hopefully the remaining draws and raffles will be kind to us all.

I've got your app too. I feel that there is a lot of beneficial info with all the services. It's just one more cost (or is it 4+ more PH, HF, EHJ, GH, etc...) Just like with equipment where does it end? I hunt a crappy general deer unit because I know it and can hunt it often. There are are...

Congrats, I felt the same, guess I wasn't lucky this time around. I'd like to see a free range wild bison forum.
