Yeah I don’t really want insulation but our company will pay for a pair every three years if they are insulated and steel toe. If uninsulated, i have to buy them myself.
Yeah thats what ive been wearing for awhile now. Love their uninsulated boots. Hoffman has partnered with meindl on the pack boots so should be good boot.
We made it up the last week of August. If saving a little money is major concern, consider going after September 1. Thats the end of tourist season and vehicle rentals and rooms are cheaper.
We rented an f150 for 8-9 days for $430

I currently have razor 10x42’s. Ive tried a few spotting scopes and have decided they are not for me. I will be getting the Kaibab 18x56 and keep razors too.
Went antelope hunting up by scottsbluff few years ago. Seen several good size bycks. All were on private at the time but if you are going first week they might still be on public.
I think you are on the right track. Might look closely at the metcalf. It might be a little big now but it compresses fown fairly well for daypack. Also i think you can buy the pintler and mule as a bag only option but not the metcalf. Therefore if you bought metcalf and decided it was too big...
I have the Marshall. Just got back from alaska and packed out 2 caribou and a bear. I agree with the ablove post but cannot comment about other packs. It carrys heavy load very well and stable. It has a shitload of straps so when its unloaded and using as a daypack after camp is setup it is kind...
