The Bow Time Machine is great, buddy of mine bought one last year and it's a killer press that will work on pretty much anything out there from a kids bow to a crossbow to a long target rig and it's super fast to boot. I've gotta custom built EZ Press style press but want to get rid of it and...
Just remember, because a company is based in MT doesn't mean they are made there... I've shot both brands a lot over the years, always had good luck with both but the TT is a little more fool proof... And check out the Hamskea, IMHO they are the best on the market.
I toured Gold Tip out there a couple years ago...What I learned
Tim has a 100yd range in the back and spends way to much time there
Automated fletching machines are freaking awesome and I want one but don't want to spend 20grand on one
The chick at the front desk is cute
Tim likes to shoot...
Evan, any idea on the cost of one of those clamps?? Also how tight is it to the sides of the limb?? Just wondering what all limb widths it would work on...
Any chance you could measure a new Hoyt limb and see how wide it is??? I might have to get one of those clamps to use on my Obsession...
An open hand grip IS NOT the correct way to grip a bow...People think it is because then they are not choking their grip but it's not a relaxed grip....You use a ton of hand muscles to force your grip to be open, that makes for a tense bow hand and tense muscles is not a good thing... You want...
I stopped using them years ago, just one less thing I have to deal with during crunch time. If you look at guys like Levi Morgan you'll see that hardly any of them use any kind of sling on their hunting rigs...With the right grip I don't think they are needed.
It totally DOES NOT work that way...If you tried that your gonna be putting arrows in the dirt at long range...Sight in a 7 pin sight from 20 to 80yds and look at the pin gaps...Arrows lose speed at a big rate at long range so your pin gaps get bigger that longer the yardage.
For a multi pin...
This one will be my hunting rig, I'm gonna order a Black 60 or 65lbs model for 3-d... Not sure what arrows I'll run this year...I've gotta pile of Gold Tip Velocity .300's laying around so I'll shoot them some. They are like 380grs, I should get around 315-320 out of them at my draw length.
It's got a little lean but not a scary amount...Nature of the beast with 2 track binary cams but they have gotten better over the years...All cams have lean if they have a cable guard rod or roller guard, some are just worst than others....This one is not bad at all.
Got a new bow in yesterday, don't know how familiar you guys are with these bows so I'll show some pics and give a little insight. Obsession has been around a few years now, but last year they added to their lineup and hired Kevin Strother "from Bowtech, Elite, Strother Archery, K&K"...Yeah I...
It's handy, you can use it ofcourse to set your 3rd axis and your 2nd axis but you can attach it to the riser when setting a rest up to make sure the bow is level in a vice and all kinds of little uses like that...Just a handy level to have in your tool box to check numerous things with.
I've shot a lot of side bar setups....For me I like something like the B-Stinger setup "like a mini target rig".
I've shot the Doinker Tactical and Fuse Sidekick a lot...Doinker actually sent me a Tactical to field test in 2011 before they hit the market...It's a good concept in theory but it's...
I want one for my hunting rig too....Does anyone have a used standard Hamskea Versa Rest they wanna part with to get the new one??? I need a standard for my 3-D bow.
