AAE Pro Max vanes???

Good to know, I just got a 100pk of the Pro Max in this afternoon to play with, stripped a couple of VAPs earlier and 4 fletched them... I won't get a chance to shoot them until tomorrow afternoon at the earliest but I'll see how they compare to Blazers as far as flight and groups go. Hopefully...

New arrows?

I'm very happy with the Victory VAP so far, they tune and fly great. And with the 92gr SS outserts I was able to get them to weigh in the ball park of what I wanted and increase the FOC...But you can't use FOBs with VAPs as far as I know.

Southpaw Upgrades: Quiver/Full contain drop-away- TiteSpot/Smackdown Pro?

Here's my .02 cents on sights and rests....HHA sights are on the very bottom of my list, I know a lot of people like them but for me they offer nothing that I'm impressed with and I've never understood why guys get fighting mad in defense of their sights...I've always said if HHA's were $75 to...

AAE Pro Max vanes???

Yeah I've shot the Max Hunter and the Elite 2.6 vanes a lot over the years, that's why I wanted to try the new Pro Max vanes out...I've always liked AAE's stuff.

Anyone tried the new AAE Pro Max 1.7" vanes yet???? Ive got some on order, thinking about trying some 4 fletched and seeing if they will steer Shuttle T-Locks.

What is too fast for a fixed blade setup?

I've shot numerous fixed blade heads in the 330-340 range in the past with good results...100gr Shuttle T's have always been money for me no matter what speed I was shooting them at.

2013 Elite Answer

Feel wise when messing with them in the shop I like the feel of the Elites with the big letoff, big valley and locked up feeling...On the range it's a totally different story for me. I don't shoot high letoff bows with solid limb stops worth a crap, I shoot lower letoff and cable stops a lot...

Custom string and cables

John's Customs "Breathn on Archerytalk" does all of mine....I've used a LOT of strings over the years, his are the best I've ever put on a bow and I'll continue to use them for as long as he builds them.

HHAs suck when it comes to mounting a quiver on them... Tightspot makes an adapter that will allow you to mount their quiver on an HHA sight. Trophy Taker does make left hand rests, 99% of the time you can't believe anything you hear at a box store.

Arrow prep

As far as removing wraps, I've had some be a pain to come off just because of the glue they left behind..........Best I've found is SOLID WHITE wraps from Onestringer...You don't have to cut them, put them in boiling water or anything else, just peel them off and they come off clean. I've...

Western WY rut timing?

I was planning on going around the 3rd or 4th week of Sept...BUT my buddy has some other guys coming into town on Sept 20th for an antelope hunt that he's kinda guiding so it looks like I'll have to go before then and end the hunt before the 20th.

new watch

Any of you guys seen the RedClover watches??? Local place had some on sale so I picked one up recently...Just wore it around town and to some 3-D shoots but so far I like it...I read some reviews on the web and they were all good and it was always compared to the Suunto watches. If I remember...

Tuning vs. super tuning?

I agree, you can make both types shoot equally well, for me it just seems like the flex type takes a little less tweaking to get on the money.

Tuning vs. super tuning?

Just set the center shot on the rest in the center of the riser shelf and then yoke tune it after that and don't mess with the windage on the rest... Just make sure your arrows are stiff enough spined and it'll come together. Yoke tuning has become more important in recent years in my opinion...
