The purpose of the "special buck tag" is for hunting on private land. West/east river, archery, black hills deer tag, etc. let you hunt public or private land. It's not like theres no options to hunt public.
I have those exact binos and I always throw them on a tripod. You'll be amazed at how much more you'll pick up. I use the Vortex Summit SS-P tripod with the vortex bino adapter and couldn't be happier. Not too expensive either. Hope this helps.
I'd get the Option 6 sight from Option Archery if I were you. I've had mine for 3 years and put it in some pretty gnarly places. It's held up better than anything else I've tried. Plus its a pretty kick ass sight.
This may be a long shot, I saw Adam Foss in the Mathews film "Best Laid Plans" he had some sort of contraption on his hip that allowed him to mount his mathews quiver straight to his side. Does anyone know who makes it and where one could buy it (if possible)? Thanks for any help in advance.
I've used the peleton 97 quite a bit. For how light it is, it sure does a good job of keeping you warm. However I have found the face fabric to be not durable at all.
I used the R-evolution trek gtx last season and they held up for sure. Very waterproof and comfortable. However they made a squeaking sound with almost every step and it drove me nuts. Still have them but made the switch to Schnee's and couldn't be happier.
I've just accepted that it's going to be weight that I have carry. I usually just bring one lense, but I wrap it all in a base layer and then stuff it in a dry bag. Goes in the middle of my pack to keep it protected from a fall, slip, etc.
