I bought it and the 200. I got rid of the 200. 200 was just a waste of weight to me.

Heat rention wise it’s about 80% of the Sitka heavyweight but half the weight.

Its +-5oz.

Curious, does it have the same fit as the 200? I have the 200 now and it's a little snug, but was looking at getting the 97 in the next size up.

i find it similar fit to the 200's i want to say it has thumb holes in the arms.

Originally the hooded 200 was one of my go to pieces but since ive gotten the 97 i wear it alot more, its perfect for active hunts or earlier hunts.

it was one of those surprise finds for me last season. hard to compare it to anything, its very light and soft but holds up pretty good. and its quite warm for being so light

Same here, I was shocked. Just So light and breaths so well. Drys quicker then the heavyweight core also. It does have thumb holes.

Fit wise it’s the same but stretchier. I do wish it had a kangaroo pocket, that’s the only negative for me.

I've used the peleton 97 quite a bit. For how light it is, it sure does a good job of keeping you warm. However I have found the face fabric to be not durable at all.

I’ve owned the 130, 240, and the 97. All very different. The 130 is just a shirt. The 240 is best as an exterior jacket. Very nice but not super breathable, hence the somewhat windproof capabilities. The 97 is a midlayer fleece. I’ll use as an outerlayer while active. I carry a down puffy for glassing and the two will keep me plenty warm. Its gonna get tons of snags. The face is not durable. If thats gonna bug you, than its probably not for you. Overall, its a sweet, versatile hoody you can pretty much wear all the time.

The Stika core lightweight is more of a sun shirt, the 97 is fleece layering peice

What’s the consensus with the 97 and walking around vs the 130 or even 145 merino? I’m looking for something to be active in while elk hunting

Is it really though? Are you talking the synthetic one? I have merino version and it's almost 11ounces and really warm. I'm swapping it out this year for the tiburon ultra long sleeve. I'm hoping it will keep me cooler.

I have the peloton 97 hoody on order as well, to replace a 6.5oz patagonia cap 4 micro grid fleece mid layer. I am head over heels for the cap4, but I wanted a camo mid layer for chilly mornings. If the peloton can replace it, I will be amazed, especially at 1.5oz less.

The corelight weight Sitka hoody, is a very thin synthetic peice. Nice peice but no insulation value.

the triburon(original) is heavier then the lightweight core. Light weight core hoody is not even comparable to the peloton 97. Different purposes

Has anyone ran a two 97’s? I used the hoodie for a week straight over a ss merino. The combo was a bit cool below 40.
