Using pac boots for longer distance hunting is just hard for me to fathom being from Wisconsin. We use the large versions out here for ice fishing and stand hunting, and I can't imagine hunting in them Western-style. They are also at least twice as much $ as the brands that we use out here...
really exciting! It's great to take an animal like that with your kid right next to you- especially with them shooting. I'm taking my 16-year-old daughter out this year, and I hope we have a similar pleasure.
I heard about the changes in Wyoming. Out here in Wisconsin it feels pretty dizzying to keep up with all the changes in the Western laws. I think I have two preference points for Wyoming, but I know a number of guys that have stopped accumulating for that state. Hopefully this will ebb and flow...

that's a great choice. I am a lefty myself, and I have dealt with all of the left-handed issues with shotguns and pistols. However, I have not found a lot of trouble shooting right-handed guns. For anyone else reading this thread, the Browning BPS is a great ambidextrous gun, and is my backup...
everything I've read about getting kids into hunting and fishing focuses on making sure that it's fun, even if it costs you your goal. This is definitely been true for my four children in fishing, and hunting so far. This year will be my first Western hunt with one of my girls, but she will be...
