Sorry for the let down but it seems service isn't as good as I thought it would be. I just figured with a bunch of cell towers a few miles away I would have data for sure. So instead of a live hunt I'll post updates as I can.
Yes it's an archery hunt.
I arrived at my camp spot pretty late...
Thanks for all the info guys. I ended up getting a sig kilo 850 for $169. So far it seems to be what I wanted. It ranges rocks and trees to 600 pretty well but haven't tried it on animals yet. It's really fast though. The yardage with compensation is in the view before I can let the button go. I...
Well guys I am on my way to the opposite corner of the state for the October ibex hunt on the Florida mountains (the rock) near Deming, NM. Something inspired me to try to do a live hunt since I think I'll have service most of the time. This thread might be pic heavy since I can snap pics...
I had the same problem with my first batch in June but I got another dozen a month ago and they are holding fine. The new ones came from a different shop but the guy did say they had to send back several hundred cause they didn't stick.

Makes me wish there was a cabelas in Albuquerque already. I'd pick one up tomorrow. Maybe sportsman warehouse will price match.

Thanks all for your replies. I'll check out some this week when I go to town. Right now I think a smaller lower power ranger is what would serve me the best as I already have a Leica 1200 for lr rifle and the next upgrade for it will be to Swaro el ranges. I just want to have a small archery...
I'm in need of a decent rangefinder with angle compensation for my upcoming Ibex hunt.
My current leica is awesome but doesn't do angles. I don't need 1000yard capability in the new one but 300 or so would be nice jut to help in planning stalks.
What do you recommend and what should I stay...
I am in a similar situation starting archery again after beginning in the precision rifle world for a while. My choice was a TT option with the 8 pin housing, 3 fixed pins and one slider. It is so far working like I wanted but haven't hunted with it yet. I got 30, 40, 50, and 60 pins and the...
Man I wish the Powerwagon was made with a Cummins. That would be an awesome truck. They have a lot of off road parts and I agree with the above statement that if you use the lockers, winch and sway bar disconnect regularly you have to accept a little body damage! I also agree there is no way it...
I really like my alpine pants. So much that I'm thinking of getting another pair for a backup. Not having a DWR coating like the site says is a bummer but you can wash in Nikwax DWR or spray on GearAid DWR to give them some repellency.
They are pretty thin and cool which is why i like them so...
I'm sorry I missed your email before. I had a hard time keeping up with them all. I believe I replied to yours today.

A buddy and I went to the south end of the island last September. This was our first trip to Kodiak but it went well.
We flew with Andrews, they are a great transport company. I recommend them quickly but have heard good things about seahawk as well.
We rented a tent and bear fence from...
