I guess you have some things on there that I would probably leave but this is just me..
Pillow (just use puffy jacket or stuff sack)
SOL emergency bivy (start a fire)
Pump dry sack (blow up with mouth)
26 oz bag bags (lol this was obviously a typo)
Pencil sharpener (could use knife to sharpen)...
A lot of guys use Exo on here and love them. I was one of those guys who couldn't get my exo to fit as comfortably as a Kifaru. But if you're going with an Exo I would def get the 5500. Steve at Exo is a great guy and will answer any questions you
As far as a Kifaru pack size it will depend on...
I've been shooting about 250-260 fps the last couple years with various bows and have not had a problem with whitetails jumping the string. I used to shoot Hoyt turbo series bows and shoot an arrow weight that would give me 280 fps but those things just weren't fun to shoot. Anyways, I wouldn't...
You could try finding a trailhead that the condition of a road prevents a horse trailer from getting to, provided you have a nimble vehicle. Where we were last season, once we got off main roads, there were horse trailers littering the first couple miles but the last 4ish miles of the road was...
I originally bought the exo 5500 but switched after my first elk hunt. Couldn't get it adjusted to where it felt as comfortable as my buddies kifaru frame. Also, I like the modularity and design of the Kifaru bags
Will not need to buy a small game to purchase an otc tag, just to enter the draw. You should already have your small game license through next March since you applied unless you bought a different qualifying license.
And when you do not draw your first choice, you automatically get the pp.
I was going to say, I was planning muleys this year but changed my mind but still had a pretty good sized list of units you can draw w/ 0 points for 2nd season.. Some with good success rates. Sounds like some miscommunication with HF?
I think the only one this forum has influenced me to use is Black Ovis since they offer a discount for members.. although I use a lot of sponsor products most of them I used before joining and some I didn't know were sponsors
Someone make me an offer, also open to trades. Interested in primus eta lite kit, kifaru guide lid in ranger green or coyote, stan 3 finger release, klymit insulated sleeping pad
I wasn't able to afford points in addition to tags in college, so this is my first year buying points. I guess I don't really regret anything because I don't see myself sitting on more than a few points for any species in a state. Going to try and rotate around species/states like others stated
I was recommended a 0 degree bag and insulated pad for second season mule deer. October weather could be all over the board.
I think Nemo has a 0 degree bag around that price point but Western Mountaineering is gonna be a little more. I think the 0 degree slick bag is around 400 though...
I wore the obsidians in Northern CO as well but in a unit with a ton of deadfall. Ripped a hole in the ankles and a hole on one of the leg pockets but I would say most pants would have ripped on the sharp edges of dead fallen trees when climbing over them all day everyday
