First shots with the NEW Goex!
I have a lot of problems I need to sort out! I have very little experience with this rifle. #1 mistake. Not sure what nipple I have in this, I'm thinking it's a Spitfire, but will double check while cleaning.

The new Goex is lighter than the Hodgdon Powder Goex.
The can from 1996 Goex 2fg weighed in at 59.2 grains. Measure set at 60 grains and my best accuracy measure.

Warm soapy water works great for powder fouling with the Whitehots. Eventually, you'll have to follow up with a solvent to clean the lead, copper or plastic out of the bore.
Birchwood Casey 2 in 1 bore scrubber. Let it soak, scrub with a nylon brush.
Perhaps these brown spots you are seeing, is actually copper fouling that hasn't been removed.

if you're shooting bh209, dont bother cleaning between shots, just shoot. I'd pay more attention for cleaning your breech plug with a drill bit over 10 shots or so to keep ignition consistent. If you're not shooting bh209 and using t7 or pyrodex, clean every shot.
