    Bluetooth will work regardless of cell service, BUT your phone’s GPS/mapping app may not work properly without it. I’ve had success with it being accurate without service, but slow to load and correct itself.

    I’m not sure what you mean by “signal”, but the Leica’s have a Bluetooth function where it puts a waypoint directly on your phone mapping app to where you are lasing.

    Sorry, poorly worded. We hunted it twice, both times we ended up in the tire shop. Once I think it was just a puncture, but one time the sidewall was slashed by a rock. Maybe it was just bad luck, maybe it’s the roads. Just something to be aware of.

    Drawing NM 2nd or 3rd choice

    There is a method to the madness. As a resident, I drew elk, deer, and Aoudad last year. Elk and deer this year. All 5 were my second or third choice. My brother has had similar results.

    Honestly you’re better off both applying every year possible as individuals. Can’t draw if you don’t apply. The chance of you both drawing the same tag as individuals and having to compete to fill both tags is probably not high odds, especially if you are NR.
