    First Lite follows suit .....

Nailed it. I’m a ASAT First Lite guy, and it is all I have and use. Several years ago, I got word that Cabelas was carrying it. I drove out to try it and they had one rack of baselayers and that was it. They had a full section of Kryptek, Sitka, and Under Armour. No one there could tell me...

    Benchmade Altitude

I’m a traditional knife kind of guy and the Altitude has definitely peaked my interest. I like the blaze orange and neck sheath. Does anyone the kind of steel it is made of? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Lightweight Merino bottoms?

Black Ovis, Icebreaker, or Minus33. Black Ovis is thin and light. I have been wearing the same bottoms for the last week under my EB guide pro pants and they are doing great. I use midweight Icebreaker Apex bottoms for hunting and they are very warm and high quality. I’ve never tried...

First Lite - gear you wish they would make!

    1) Keep ASAT. I own a good portion of the First Lite lineup all in ASAT. I'm not rich, so I have bought pieces here and there slowly over the last several years. Now I feel like I have to scramble to get anything that may be left in stock somewhere that I had on my wish list. I was lucky...

    Arrow Penetration Issue

With your setup, you shouldn't have any problems with penetration, but I agree your shot placement is not the best. That aside, I think you have some tuning issues that need to be addressed. So let's start at the beginning and work our way up from there. 1) Lets get your bow close and then...

    Which Easton Arrows?

I recommend the axis as well. I shoot hundreds of arrows a week and thousands over a year. The only arrow I’ve broken is due to a Robin Hood at 30 yards. They are very durable, reasonably straight, reasonably affordable, and have excellent mass per inch for hunting and the combination of weight...

    Tight spot foam

I quoted my rubber insert by adding more double sided tab to hold it more securely inside the hood. My 7 arrow Tightspot rubber insert rattled and vibrated at the shot, a long strip of Scotch heavy duty double sided tape on the front and back and a small piece on each side holds it really...

    Tight spot foam

You can get a block of foam for arts and crafts from Michael's and just cut it into the shape you need. I used double sided tape to hold it in. Alternatively, you can get a rubber insert that comes with the newer Tightspot quivers from S and S Archery. Black Ovis has the rubber insert too...

Primus Micron Lantern back up on Massdrop 35$

I picked one up on the last drop and tested it out on a boy scout camp out. It was awesome.....especially when one of the boys shattered the globe on the one standard Coleman propane lantern we had. The Primus micron lantern has no glass to break and puts out a lot of light.

doesnt look good for my holiday stocking stuffer :(

As a condition of elk hunting last year and next year, I promised my wife a cruise. I just booked it. After that, the new rangefinder, First Lite gear, and bow accessories I bought for myself don't even bother her. I think Swaro SLC 10x42's might be pushing it though.

    Hunting hoody

The First Lite Chama hoody would fit your needs. Great midweight merino wool that is very comfortable against bare skin and it does not hold a funk if you wear it for several days. It comes in solid colors and camo options.

    70 vs 80# limbs

Do it. I tuned my Hoyt Carbon Defiant Turbo to max at 75 lbs. I begged Hoyt for 80lb limbs, but no dice. If you have the strength, have good form, and practice as often as you can, I see no downsides so long as you’re not over bowed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

My first elk hunt, in progress.

Good luck. Just keep hiking until you find some recent sign. Then set up and glass. You'll find them.

First Lite ASAT, good for everything?

I use ASAT for everything and own nearly the entire FL line. That being said, FL is dropping ASAT. I would invest in their Fusion camo if I had to start over again today. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    First Lite Sanctuary sizing issue

I wear a small in everything FL, but for the Sanctuary series, I sized up to mediums. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Solomon Quest 4d and waterproofing

I'm going on two seasons with mine. Last year, I was leading a boy scout summer camp where it downpoured all week and flooded the camp. My camp site was on the other side of an overflowing creek. My Quest's held up great. Things I did find lacking on the Quests was the grip on wet rocks and...

Hauling climbing stands on SG packs

I haul my Hawk Helium Kickback and 4 Helium sticks on my MR Longbow pack. I put the stand between the bag and frame and use the front buckles to hold on the sticks. I have a load sling from Rugged Stitching I use as a beaver tail to suck everything in and stop the load from shifting. My...

    Firstlite exchanges

I'm 5'10" and 160lbs, size 38 in chest and 30 in waist and FL mediums are usually big on me. I'm usually a small, but I went with the medium in the Sanctuary line. If the Woodbury fits the same, you'll be golden. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
