I got my wife some pants from black ovis this spring. She's wore them a few times this summer and really seemed to like them. Seem like a nice pant at a nice price

one that has really caught my eye lately is the phoenix by grayboe, adjustable and right at 2lbs. It's right at the top of my list if i end up with a 700 build
I dont think there is a bad choice these days. Maybe consider the bergara ridge instead. It comes threaded and little heavier barrel which would be nice for the plinking days

I think you may be surprised how close a different brand/bullet will shoot just stay at 180gr. It will be very minor adjustments if any. If elk are on the menu I'd suggest switching to something like the accubond anyways. Which I believe winchester also loads in their ammo

Has anyone used the Wyoming arms suppressors?? They sure are light and compact, look like a good outfit and somewhat local which I like. But not much info out there about them.

It baffles me that they don't. To me rangefinding binos shine the most for rifle hunters.. And a lot of that rifle hunting is done in big open country where 12x50s are commonly used.

A lot of it depends on the genetics in the area. Here in the breaks the 3rds are typically the weakest point. If they are good its generally a very nice bull. Other than that YouTube is helpful, really like Jay Scott's videos.

Thinking about putting together a new elk hunting rig, and considering building it with the intention of putting a suppressor on it. Cant stand muzzlebreaks, so im hoping this would get me in a similar position in regards to recoil and spotting shots.

The maven is pretty decent but id highly suggest considering a meopta s2. I'd put it head to head with a swaro any day of the week

Following along as I'm kicking a similar idea around. Not sure the prc is the best choice?? Seems like it would need a long barrel to be worth the hassle. I was thinking something like a 300wsm that can more effectively burn the powder in a short barrel. But i too am learning

You should probably just get rid of that stw, I'll send you my address if you'd like?? In all seriousness the 308 is certainly up to the task for your situation. And like you mentioned much easier to get ammo for and handier in the stand and the trees. Personally I'd go with the stw just...
It seems as tho if there is any doubt or much labor involved they just replace it. If a company can afford to just give away replacements for someone not paying attention and running over their binos with a pickup, what kind of quality parts can they afford to put into the original product...
