A lot of the rubs you'll see early are from rubbing velvet off so they might be in a completely different area for rut. Find the cows during the season, bulls won't be far.
any of the Rocky Mtn or Phelps (or any other brand) reeds with the softer latex are good calls to start on. Mellow Yellow is what I started with but you'll learn quickly so get some of the more advance calls too.
Hunting plans haven't changed (MT FWP did that for me) but fishing plans have changed. Not going out for halibut, long run, low prob. Boat get's 2.3 mpg and boat diesel is $5.39

Altitude kicks my butt every year. Live at 2' and only hunt at 8-9k' but I can't get enough oxygen in me to climb hills without gasping for air like a fish on the bank. I started taking gingko biloba a couple of years ago, start a month before hunting and it seems to help a bit. Also use...
With both wheels being driven and knobbies this bike seems like it could go up anything my dirt bike could but haven't had a chance to try my buddies out on anything difficult. Definitely not fast, 30 mph tops but lots of torque. Nothing like a Rokon, except for the two wheel drive concept.
A buddy of mine got one just for riding around but it looks like it would work great for elk hunting. I have a small motorcycle that works well but the electric bike with two wheel drive seems like it would get anywhere the cycle would and it's lighter and probably carries more load. Just...
