Big plug for black ovis. Huge disappointment with first lite

Black Ovis is great to deal with, fantastic customer service. I have had very positive experience with First Lite with no sizing issues. I personally thought their customer service was also good. No complaints here.

Eastern Oregon 2017 OTC archery Elk report/feedback

In my area the elk were there, but would not talk at all. This may be an excuse, but since the wolves have moved into this area the elk have totally changed their behavior. This is not an area where you can glass and find them. So if they're not talking it's tough. So, that's my excuse.

    Using onX Maps Offline

I was having issues with the map layers. Looking at the FAQ I discovered I did not have the current update. The instructions said to log off and then log back on. It seemed to clear up the issues I was having, worth a try maybe.

    DIY Food dehydrating

Here is a pretty good link to dehydrating. Dehydrating Food I have found dehydrating meals like casseroles worked best for me. I wasn't fond mixing dehydrated ingredients and expecting a decent meal.

    Kifaru belt slipping off frame

I'd suggest calling Kifaru, they will get things straightened out. I'm pretty sure the lumbar pad wraps over the hip belt and secures with velcro through holes in the frame. No way should the belt ever fall off. VIDEOS - Kifaru International Check out this video, it shows how to adjust the...

    Inreach/Earthmate

Yes, you can enter your contacts on your in-reach page, quick messages and other messages you think you may use frequently. Or, if your blue toothed to your phone you can use the contacts in your phone. Really simple to use. Just don't forget to sinc your phone to your in--reach.

    Garmin Inreach Explorer

Les, I am pretty sure the number of texts is by the month. I am also a fan of the earthmate app. It is very easy to check your location with earthmate on your phone. Saves lots of time instead of pulling out a map. I will always have map and compass, but this app is very handy to use, IMO.

Anybody listen to the latest Gritty Bowmen sales pitch...er, I mean podcast

The discussion was about technology and hunting. I see no where that Breadcrumb Tech is a sponsor. So I don't see it as Brian was pushing a product. Every discussion is not a product endorsement.

New Mexico Archery Elk: Day-by-day format

Randy this is really good stuff. Totally appreciate the way your posting these. Now I see why you've called it a marathon. Takes a lot of dedication to keep grinding it out day after day. It also amazes me how some people pay so little attention to the wind. A few of these hunters need to...

How did you learn to work on you bow?

Having a good pro shop is probably a great thing to have. I've never been near one, at least one that I trust and can do it when I need it. Like a lot of guys on here I shoot my bow every day religiously. No way am I going to drop it off and come back next week. You tube has a lot of good...
