Xtps in all flavors have never done me wrong. Saved my butt as well on a halfwit bear, but i think any 180 at those velocities would have done a comendable job of changing hearts and minds.
That's a great idea!
Also very good to hear about the new MR belt fitting on the old pop up. Im generally carrying the pop up 18 during archery season but switch to the pintler as the weather gets colder and or need to carry the bow or rifle strapped to my back. Ive never liked that original...
Ive got an HS on my 338 RUM. The weight is appreciated in that particular case. The only thing i would gripe about was the pad (frozen turd). Fit a kick eez to her and shes golden. One of my favorites.
Granted that's an older one. Maybe they changed their ways as of late.

Best of luck to all those in burn areas.
Idaho 4x4, that looks even...

Just checked out Hosking Holsters. The work and the prices all look great. Definitely will be supporting the local guy on my next purchase.
Thanks for the heads up.
Never one to follow my own advice, so take this with a grain of salt.
For what you hunt, the 243 is a beast. That being said, I LOVE the 25-06 too!
110gr Accubonds at 3200fps just plain slays.
Best of luck whichever way you go.
