I can see how drag on one side (i.e. the blade being fully swung one direction or another) might cause the arrow to turn that direction, kind of like a kid using hand pressure to turn a sled going down a hill. But the pressure would theoretically only be fleeting as the blades should...
Respectfully, this is not solid advice IME. It is very common practice to add or remove 1/4" of length using cables/string, but more than this does get to be too much because of changes in draw weight, etc. Since you want 1/2" the best route is to get new mods. Drawlength sets the front half...
Yeah, but that Bowtech drive system is freaking awesome. Consider the ability to infinitely adjust cam position vs being stuck with a few shim combinations like on a Mathews...
It is pretty sweet to be able to BH/BS tune at the range!
I put my Hamskea Hybrid Hunter Micros through hell for 4 seasons (maybe 3?) of spot-and-stalk crawling, yanking it through limbs into treestands, and other various forms of abuse and so far have not had a single issue...nothing, zip, nada. I ran a Ripcord Ace and and TT cable driven system...
Never tried them, but I'd suggest going with Easton HITs instead of half outs. If you want to beef up the front end break off the HITs to 50gr (or don't) and use Iron Will 25gr collars.
I just spoke to FWP about this and you are incorrect. You can shoot any deer in MT regardless of race, religion, or color provided you follow that district's/area's specific regulations. There apparently was a law on the books protecting white deer on a specific MT legislator's property in...
Best place on earth for a kid is the western US (but not too far west). I've had him and his little sister out fishing and "hunting" rabbits and ducks in a backpack with me since they were 1. Some of it is self-gratifying, I mean how can the Misses complain when I involve them too? But it is...
While I would prefer an open-jawed wrist strap, I much prefer a fully closed jaw on a thumb. I find it to be much more user friendly in the field than an open jaw. I have shot the Carter Nock2It, which is essentially a slightly modified 2.5 finger version of a Wise Choice, for 3 or 4 years now...
Another bit of advice on the HITs...I found that the suction generated by pulling out the green tool can also pull the insert out a little. The fix is to use sandpaper and take off a little of the two rings on the tips of the tool, just enough so the fit is not tight. Then I check the depth of...
