Haven't watched it yet. I'll try to keep an open mind.
-I've made it :06 in so far. At the :03 mark douchey shot of some ostrich cowboy boots. Not looking good.
I'm enjoying the train wreck but anyways,
With like starting velocities, .308 155 fmj and .308 155 eldm are going to have nearly identical kps scores at any range. You could sub a 150 e-tip or 150 ttsx in there if you're having spasms over the fmj. Kps will still be nearly identical. Wound...
9/16 threads require .6625 barrel diameter for some guys to thread. (.5625 + .1) It should be close to that. I'd find a Smith that would thread it 9/16. Could probably go 1/2-28 and be fine also.
You're not going to rechamber a 7 rem mag to anything in a tikka action and still have factory ammo. You're looking at a rebarrel and can go whatever you like. 300wsm make the most sense. Fwiw I'd just cut back to 20-22" thread and shoot it as is. Take the $700+ that a new installed barrel...
I love mine. Drive it everywhere. It's awesome. :)
It's just another tool in the access kit. Works great for some things not so much for others and just like everything as hard as some might try to make it, it's not black and white.
The 2 that come to mind are bowmar and muleyfreak. Not sure if muleyfreak actually meets the definition of poacher but whatever he did he lost hunting privileges for a couple years I believe. This is the only sm I'm on so I don't really know what most of these guys are posting. I only know...
This is the other very important side of the coin. It's a chicken/egg question. There's convicted or soon to be convicted poachers with huge followings. There's a whole image stigma attached to hush where you could reasonably guess if someone follows them. Are the influencers the problem or...
I'll diverge here. I wouldn't bring a tripod for bino glassing without also bringing a spotter. If its a huge part of your shooting system maybe. A Weiser kit on a pair of trekking poles is way lighter and nearly as functional. For a tripod to be really functional shooting it needs to be...
Well said. For me it's the for profit motivation that perverts everything for me. I've made a conscious decision to not attempt to profit from hunting. I've seen friends go down that road and it has always changed their relationship to hunting in a negative way. Some guy blowing up an area...
.264 139 scenar that impacted at <2250 fps, so less than creed velocities at woods ranges. Definitely hit lower than I'd like, so no pooling in body cavity. I'm sure an acceptable deer cartridge like the 30-06 would have made a difference. SMH.
