Thanks, I was wondering if maybe my straps had gotten clipped too short or something. I jkept the gatekeepers on them and compressed the bottom of the bag with them and that seemed to work well without the frame extensions.
Gotcha, I've been using it as it came setup from them. Both the straps had gatekeepers installed and after wrapping and tensioning the frame they clipped to the bottom of the bag allowing it to be compressed nice and tight.
I bought a lanner a few months ago and have been dicking with it (endlessly it seems) to get it comfortable even under light loads.
I put the 2" frame extensions on it today and lo and behold the 2 straps that pull the frame tight and then compress the bottom of the bag are now too short. Am...
I'm going to take a stab at this and say that if you your adjustment resolution (0.1 mil or whatever) is smaller than the uncertainty of your zero location then you will need to shoot larger groups to center them to the resolution of your optic adjustments.
So if you shoot 5 shot 2 MOA groups...
I haven't had any chance to dick with it so I'll find out on my own eventually, but does this make the .com bino a stand alone unit with the profile loaded from the phone? Or does it need to be paired to work?
You're going to have condensation when you bring items from cold temps into warmer ones. I usually just make sure that I don't shove guns inside cases where the condensation can't evaporate back when it comes up to temp. You still need to check and give exposed metal surfaces a periodic...
I wear an 11.5" Schnees Timberline and beartooth 200 g. Due to my timberlines leaking and needing to be replaced 3x (great customer service) I looked around and tried on some other brands.
Both the 11.5 kenetrek and 11 fit me. The 11 upper seemed to fit better, but the arch on the insole...
If it is stainless on stainless you are very much going to want to use antisieze, unless you would like the barrel to become a permanent part of the receiver. Possibly in a position where it doesn't even headspace correctly.
$100 - Eberlestock Gunslinger: Good. condition other than one of the two buckles that goes over the top of the scabbard is broken.
$50 - Camelbak Motherlode. I bought this thing in 2006 and it's been through the ringer. It is in good functioning shape. I do not have the waist belt for it...
Another update. I sent Matt an email and he put me in touch with Cody their customer service lead and they are sending me a new pair of boots.
Again, I have had nothing but great customer service from schnees no matter what I've bought from them and I am hoping that my experience with the...
This is probably something that is going to vary alot person to person. My feet will sweat at the drop of a hat, so I generally don't break out my Beartooth 200g until the teens . Generally that's hiking and then sitting for 30 minutes or so. I've done that down into the sub zeros. Anything...
I have a set of insulated beartooth 2s that I wear when it gets really cold and I know I'll be I'll alot of sitting. I hope that I'll get quite a few years out of them, and imagine I will.
I don't think I would notice a membrane failure in those boots as snow is usually not melting at the...
