There is another option. I just picked my lefty Tikka 223 up from my FFL a couple weeks ago. Bought it online in Canada and had it shipped to Borderview. They got it through customs and then shipped it to my FFL. So glad to finally have one!
I killed an elk last year with the 143 eldx at about 125 yards. 2 shots, 2 exits and the elk traveled about 15 feet. 6.5 Creedmoor and a muzzle velocity of just over 2600fps out of an 18 inch barrel.

I don't think a different stock is gonna make a real difference. The classic Winchesters are not known to be the most accurate, and this comes from a big Winchester fan.
Only the CTR is imported into the US in 223. I really hope that will change though. I just picked up a lefty 243 to be rebarreled in 6 Creed- can't wait.
