Thanks for the info. I will say this. I will get some good bare shaft flight then a couple not good. I am still working on my form and consistency. I plan of doing some work tonight with the 500 spine arrow. How much weight up front would you recommend?
All good info guys. Appreciate that. My initial arrow was last night at 7 yards. just bare shafts and playing with different spine and tip weights. I have more confirmation to do but I think I am close to these specs:
30" Easton Legacy 400 spine
150 grains up front
16% FOC
9.5 grains/lbs...
Don't feel bad at all. I have read a ton and watched a ton of videos and have seen it all. This is good info to know. Once I find what shoots the best, I obviously need to be consistent.
I am just getting started in the trad world. I got everything I need including an Easton Legacy arrow test kit to figure out what arrow spine/point weight shoot the best out of my bow. Once I get that figured out, I will fletch with feathers. What orientation of the cock feather should I...
I'm just starting to get into traditional archery but do not know if I would like it so got a BH. First impression is good minus the string. I already ordered a new flemish twist one.
Now the problem is I just spent about $200 getting items I need to set this bow up and start figuring out...
I don't get it. Well I do, but I don't. Companies keep rolling out new bows that are just about the same as the previous years model. I get it that its going to be really hard for all companies to advance in technology from here on out. But weight and speed are not intriguing to me at all.
I'm not religious but I found the Chapel of Holy Cross to be pretty scenic. Short hike up to it or you can pay a guy to hop on a golf cart. The views are pretty awesome. Other than that, shopping for some odd things. I would go up to Flagstaff. If you do, make sure you drive 89A. There is...
I had a VA-5 as well with no issues. I loved that head minus the weight. I did purchase a Tricer LP and have played with it in the house. It seems great but I haven't ran it through its paces. I leave for CO tomorrow and can report back through a PM if you are interested.
I have been twice with my family. Went once in September and it was great. Everyone was back to school and not huge crowds. With that being said I went this year around my birthday at the end of June and it was great as well. There were a lot more people and the parking lots were full at the...
They are gtg. I went to their Bozeman location while out there on a work trip. I dreamed up a way to use their access bag as a small backpack for my tree stand. Told the guy up front. He went in the back and got some buckles and webbing. Now I have the perfect mobile whitetail set up.
I'm in the same boat as most on this page. I dont understand the soft shell and think its good for about 2 weeks of the hunting season. Heck I wore an Axis jacket to my sons t ball game last October and froze me butt off. I sold it and got a Cirque to try out.
I'm guessing new models or they are gearing up for a new process in treating their fabric to get away from using PFAS. States and the Feds are trying to ban PFAS. Minnesota starts 01/01/2025.
Winchester Model 94 pre 64. Iron signs and Remington Corelokts. My dad and I don't talk anymore but I wish I had that rifle to pass on to my son or daughter.
Oh for sure. I'm not knocking them at all. I plan on ordering as soon as they sit their website. I wish they would do a presale so I wouldn't have to go on their sight every day.
