I’m looking for a takedown now for my wife.
She doesn’t plan to hunt but has enjoying hiking the outdoor archery range. Since she is 5’1” I was thinking of getting her a junior bow.

Has anyone gotten a Traditional Only® Cairn Junior Takedown Recurve?

Other recomendaría a welcome

Thanks
Michael

Never had the bow you mentioned above.
The takedown I use is a Javaman, I like it alot. He can make whatever you want.
I have a standard non-takedown as well, very nice bows.

Have you considered an ilf? They are so easy to change to what you need.

A custom will be awesome like a pika from toelke....but if it's not perfect it's expensive to swap where a ilf is as cheap as $80.

Like stated above I have not had any dealings with that model. I’d consider ILF or either a two piece takedown. Perfect for travel to and from or flying.

I bought my wife a Stalker SL longbow, 25@28”. She draws a a tad over 26 but with a light arrow (Victory Vap 1000) she can shoot out to 25-30yds in the backyard. Her bow came in handy last summer when I tore my forearm and messed up my shoulder at the same time and needed a rehab bow.

My girlfriend is 5’’5” and she got into target & 3D earlier archery earlier this year.

I got her started with a Black Hunter recurve off Amazon (25lbs @28in). Just to see if she would like it without spending too much money.

She really enjoyed archery so the Black Hunter was sent back and I got her a PSE Terra Longbow (30lb @28in). Good bow for <$200.

Couple more recommendations, check your classifieds for any used bows, start low on poundage, and find some lighter GPI arrows for the lower draw.

I'm just starting to get into traditional archery but do not know if I would like it so got a BH. First impression is good minus the string. I already ordered a new flemish twist one.

Now the problem is I just spent about $200 getting items I need to set this bow up and start figuring out what spine arrow to shoot. But I tend to go overboard, so maybe thats not needed.
