There is a lot more to a hunt than killing. As long as he paid for services that he thought were not accommodated, he has the right to complain. It's America. He doesn't have to get his own plane and take himself because he paid somebody to do that.
Now that I think of it, last time I hunted the Haul Road we met this creepy "Preacher". Invited us over for dinner in his RV but left camp before dinner. Kept referring to my hunting buddy as "Mr. Alaska". Strange. Real strange.
I've heard some pretty good stories from friends of mine losing good hunting leases because stories of B&C animals killed on them made it to Shockey. These are wise older men and he's despised amongst them.

Your last sentence is why I have a problem with grazing. The cows on the greys river hammer that valley grass all summer that would be great feed for both deer and elk in the hard months.
Considering outfitting - Here is why I have a problem with it. Let's say I want to pay you to go scout for me in region G.... is that legal? And why or why not?
Let's say Im an outfitter and I find a big deer in July and I decide to pay young "guides" to sit on that deer until my client gets...
This goes on in every state. I've had some good elk hunts in the mentioned units that were interrupted by guides sitting on deer for the September opener....
I want to bring up something that is totally not being talked about enough in all of these debates. We are in a new era of public land hunters and tag demand. I think game managers and public land overseers are not taking into account the demand increase for use of our public lands and the game...
