    If you buy used you can probably sell it for close to what you paid and upgrade a year or more later. Thats what i did. Scooped a razor off ebay for $800, used it two years and took good care of it then sold for $750 to fund better optics.

    For what its worth i now have the kowa 774 and had a gen 1 razor 85. The kowa is quite a bit better. The razor wasnt bad for $800 but the kowa beats it in every aspect in my opinion espeacially color and usability at 60x.

    I just grabbed a kowa 774 that would get my vote. Searching romslide you cant find a bad thing about them in that suze and they regularly are compared to the swaro S series and are equa or better in most peoples opinions. Its a good buy in my opinion

    Pricey new custom string improperly installed by shop... should I insist on replacing the string or just have the shop twist the string?

    Like above ots expected to have this happen in the first 100 shots, but once that string settles it might not have to be touched for a year or two. Yeah two shots was exagerating probably but once you hit 100 shots you should be good to go for a long time. You dont know what you dont know, now...
