I didn't vote because it only lets me pick one. I use different option depending on the situation. Summer and early season I usually use a Sawyer squeeze. Late season I use a Steripen if there's a chance of freezing. I always have tablets with me for backup and sometimes I just use those.

You can find a used Delorme inreach for around $150. That's what I did, and it works great. You can do the cheapest plan for about $15 a month and only activate it for the months you need it.

Apparently there's a new standard for measuring r value in sleeping pads. Klymit has not updated the r values in their pads. At one point earlier this year they changed the values in their website and the static v insulated from 4.4 to 1.9. They then removed that from the website and put back...
I have a subscription to Gaia and onx. I think onx is simpler to use, but Gaia has more options and ability to customize.

I love my areopress. I use it all the time at home and truck camping, but haven't ever taken it on a backpack hunt. Vias are good enough for me backpacking...

I use my Mystery Ranch metcalf for everything. Yeah, it's overkill for summer backpacking, but it works... I'm not thru hiking or anything so I don't see the need to go ultralight if I'm just doing weekend backpacking trips.
