Never did until after the time I dropped a deer, started to work gutting, got about 6 inches into opening him up when he decided he was getting up. Scared the crap outa me but was able to grab my gun and get another round in him just as he got his feet under him. I always poke now.

When I saw my Dr after getting back from my trip, he showed me how to use Leukotape to create an emergency patellar support to help keep in place if needed, so you can get out of the backcountry bit easier.

That knee has had multiple surgeries and treatments before and after. FWIW I firmly believe that prior cortizone injections around that ligament was the cause of the rupture. Of course, the Dr wont agree.
Anyway I developed a spot of osteonecrosis on one side of the joint (can’t remember which...
Same thing happened to me while solo elk hunting one year. But I had no idea what had just happened to leave me in a pile at bottom of a blowdown that I had just stepped off. Was a mile from my camp one direction and 2 from the truck. Made it to my camp, with my leg hyperextending twice on the...
And someone to carry it, and cooler, and firewood.

I carry a 5x7 emergency type tarp/blanket. Orange on 1 side, reflective foil on the other side w/small grommets on the corners. Weighed it and it didn’t weigh much different than the equivalent Tyvek sheet. I pack it up with a ridgeline, 2 short lines and 4 light weight stakes.

Interstate in all my vehicles including the bike. Never needed to use the warranty. Never had a problem with any in over 30 years.

A tube of clear silicone for the seam all around the bed inside. And a roll of tailgate weatherstrip sealed mine real well. And it was far cheaper than $3,500-4,000 for an RSI.

The wife and I did a similar trip last year. Except that we trailered our motorcycle out. We rented a VRBO in Keystone and went a different direction each day. Mt Evans, Pikes Peak, RMNP, Aspen via Independence Pass to name a few. And hit up a concert at Red Rocks. One of the best trips we’ve...
I wouldn’t say that a bow mounted quiver is equivalent to a stabilizer. I actually shoot slightly right (couple inches at 30) with a quiver. So I sight in with one loaded, and practice that way all year.

Not referring to handbooks. I was referring to actually calling and talking to the DNR to ask them about this. Nothing gets done without their knowledge and hand in it first. Otherwise it’s all just hearsay.
